Our Mission
Our Journey
At SGI, we value the self-sovereignty of individuals and their right to pursue their hopes and dreams, even when these dreams transcend borders. We offer clear and concise relocation consultation and integration services that allow our clients to pursue their dreams abroad.
SGI seeks to strengthen and celebrate local communities by providing services to its clients with the necessary framework for them to integrate. To this end, SGI seeks to connect and integrate diverse individuals and communities as a core outcome of our services.
Building on this, SGI aligns itself with conscious immigration by emphasizing responsible resettlement for our clients. By providing memorable experiences to our clients that highlights local cultural identities, SGI is for those who want not only to relocate but resettle.

How It Started
Solstice Global Integrations grew out of our own experiences of leaving the United States and building lives abroad. All three of us came from the same university in the Midwest, bound by a shared desire for independence—both professionally and personally—and a need to step outside the structures we had grown up in. Moving abroad was about taking responsibility for our own paths rather than continuing within systems that no longer felt like the right fit.
From There to Here
That decision led us across borders. Two of us settled in Mexico, one in Spain—but the experiences were remarkably similar. Teaching, learning new languages, and navigating daily life outside the U.S. reshaped how we understood culture, work, and connection. Learning Spanish, integrating into local communities, and building friendships abroad taught us more about culture and communication than much of our formal education had. Over time, returning to the U.S. brought strong reverse culture shock, reinforcing what we already felt: building a long-term life there was no longer realistic for us.
What We Saw
Living abroad also gave us a clearer—sometimes uncomfortable—view of relocation itself. We encountered complex bureaucratic systems and services that felt extractive rather than supportive. We witnessed the effects of gentrification in places like Mexico and Spain, and we saw how often people attempted to move abroad without reliable guidance or a clear understanding of what the process truly involved. Whether you’re 25 or 65, the path can feel overwhelming without someone who’s walked it before.
Why Solstice
Solstice Global Integrations was created from that experience. Having navigated relocation ourselves—learning new languages, adapting to new cultures, weathering reverse culture shock, and establishing genuine independence abroad—we realized others were trying to do the same. We launched Solstice in 2025 to provide the guidance we wished we’d had: informed by firsthand experience, rooted in respect for local communities, and committed to conscious immigration—the principle that relocation should enrich both the newcomer and the place they settle.
Today, we focus specifically on Andalucía, Spain, where the scent of orange blossoms in spring and the warmth of Mediterranean evenings reflect the life we’ve built—and the life we believe is possible for you.
What We Believe
Authenticity – We live the journey we sell. Every recommendation comes from experience, not assumption.
Community – We believe relocation is about belonging, not just moving. We connect you with locals and fellow expats who share your values, while respecting the communities that welcome us.
Transparency – Every step is visible. We’re honest about visa timelines, costs, and the realities of cultural adaptation—because informed decisions create sustainable transitions.

Our Founders
Jordan A. Young
¡Muy buenas y bienvenidos! As a co-founder of SGI I am so excited to introduce the culturally-rich & vibrant life that awaits here in Andalucía, Spain. Since moving here myself in 2020, I have experienced a renewed sense of connection & tranquility that has compelled me to make this my permanent home. Therefore, as a part of SGI, my goal is to provide a path for others who are looking to experience this for themselves. If you are reading this, I know that yearning is within you as well. I also know what it's like to go through the US Embassy interviews, to scamper to gather all the necessary paperwork in time; I know the difficulties that come with sorting through your life to decide what stays with you and what gets left behind. Lastly, I now know and crucially I want you to know how fresh orange blossoms smell during the spring, how the Mediterranean seabreeze gently caresses your face, the awe of walking down streets that have survived millennia. Having taken this leap abroad myself, my mission is to provide a path to other Americans who are looking to do this themselves. It would be a pleasure and an honor to show you what your life can look like in Andalucía and we here at SGI are here to show you the way! Having taken this leap abroad, our consultation & services are partially informed by many of the lived experiences I’ve had since relocating to Spain. After adapting to the Spanish lifestyle over the last five and half years & seeing first hand some of what the region has to offer, I am committed to the opportunity to share what I have learned & built so far. Some of my skills lie in building connections, constructing frameworks for success & aligning people’s interests so these skills & my experiences are some of what to bring to SGI. I deeply believe in SGI’s commitment to providing accessibility & authenticity to relocation services & value bringing people from different cultures together cohesively. It is a pleasure & an honor to be able to demonstrate life in Andalucía & help others find the dreams that await them abroad.
Richard Shewmaker
Welcome to Solstice Global Integrations. My name is Richard, and as a co-founder, my role is to educate, inspire, and—most importantly—make the transition of relocating abroad as smooth and enjoyable as possible. My path toward helping others build a life overseas began several years ago when I felt a strong pull toward service and education. That led me to take a position teaching English in Mexico—what was meant to be a one-year experience. Even then, I sensed I was ready for a deeper shift than the life I had been living in the United States. Living in Mexico reshaped my sense of purpose. Learning Spanish, building real community, and adapting to a different way of life made it clear that the future I wanted wasn’t waiting for me back in the U.S. Six years later, after years of learning along the way, I’ve come to understand that many people hesitate to make this change simply because they lack the guidance they wish they had—people to show them where to live, what to avoid, and how to navigate a new country without falling into common traps. Through my own relocation journey and hands-on work in apostille services, I help Americans move forward with clarity and confidence so they can truly resettle and build the life abroad they’ve been imagining.
Anthony Bodnar Jr
I’m Anthony Bodnar, a co-founder of Solstice Global Integrations and an American expat living in Mexico. My work focuses on the less visible side of international life—the systems that determine whether relocation actually holds up over time. Living abroad taught me quickly that moving countries isn’t just about arrival. It’s about documentation, compliance, sequencing, and learning how local realities shape daily life. I spend my time working inside those systems, helping clients navigate them with clarity rather than guesswork. My background in music and education trained me to think in patterns, structure, and progression—skills that translate directly to cross-border problem-solving. At SGI, I concentrate on building frameworks that support long-term stability, not short-term excitement. My goal is to help people establish international lives that function smoothly, respect local contexts, and remain legally sound long after the move itself is complete.

Anthony Bodnar is a co-founder of Solstice Global Integrations and an American expat living in Mexico. His work is informed by years of direct experience navigating international systems—residency, documentation, compliance, and the practical realities of building a stable life across borders. Anthony’s approach to global integration is operational and disciplined. He focuses on how legal pathways, logistics, and local culture intersect in practice, helping clients move beyond aspirational relocation toward durable, well-structured resettlement. His perspective is shaped not only by executive leadership and international operations, but by daily life inside the systems his clients must navigate. Trained in music and education, Anthony brings a strong sense of structure, pattern, and communication to his work—skills that translate naturally to complex cross-border problem-solving. At Solstice Global Integrations, he helps individuals and institutions pursue international lives with clarity, intention, and respect for the communities they enter.
